Problem

The masthead strip is a compact horizontal surface meant for a site header. It needs its own mockup because its constraints (single row, dense, responsive collapse) differ from the month grid.

Acceptance criteria

A static mockup shows the strip with today centered and adjacent days flanking it.
The strip degrades gracefully to a narrow viewport in the mockup.
Active rubric + calendar context chip is represented.
The surface receives explicit per-surface approval recorded on the issue before closing.

Approved. Masthead / week-strip mockup in #104: reworked to a day-by-day slider (mobile reaches every day, no scrollbar), plus the one-line header ribbon with the on-navy colour tabs + gold-ringed gem.
