Ingest the Clementine Vulgate and the Douay-Rheims English psalter as provenance-tracked sources keyed for office assembly. Done when psalms and canticles resolve in both languages.

Epic — child issues are tracked as sub-issues.

Design of record: docs/design/office-text-layer.md (approved 2026-07-17, PR #494). No engine code until Stage 0 (§9) lands.

Stage 2. Spec §4.2 — Latin Clementine Vulgate (clementina-1592, Gallican psalter, Vulgate numbering) + English Douay-Rheims (dr-challoner-1899), verse-paired with versification-mismatch detection (#114); §8 (NFC-at-ingest + determinism). Source-scoped stream, off the calendar digest.

Epic done — all three children (#112, #113, #114) are closed.

5,057 verses of Clementine Latin and Douay-Rheims English are vendored and sha-pinned, so the build is hermetic and fails closed if the bytes drift; psalms and canticles resolve in both languages through CorpusOfficeTextProvider, and versification divergence is reported rather than silently absorbed.

One deliberate gap, tracked elsewhere: the invitatory Venite (Ps 94) stays unseeded pending the Gallican-vs-Romanum recension question (Open-Q #12) — it fails closed rather than being filled from a reference-only source.
